This week on Scream Addicts, Jinx welcomes Victor Gischler to the show.
A novelist, comic book writer, and screenwriter known for Go-Go Girls of the Apocalypse, Spirits of Vengeance, and Death of Dracula, Mr. Gischler has chosen Ridley Scott’s 1979 sci-fi/horror masterpiece Alien for discussion this week.
Mr. Gischler and Jinx discuss the first time they caught the film, its many sequels, and its standing within the Alien franchise.
Along the way, the two discuss the ultimate benefits of the production’s limitations, their thoughts on the film’s phallic imagery and H.R. Giger’s iconic design work, and the realistic, blue collar characters that populate this otherwise outlandish tale.
It’s a marvelous chat with a great guest, and it’s one we hope you enjoy.
