This week on Scream Addicts, Jinx welcomes Mark H. Harris to the show.
Mr. Harris is a writer who has penned pieces for such entertainment sites as Vulture, about.com, and Pop Matters. In addition to his appearance in this year’s fantastic documentary Horror Noire, Mr. Harris also runs BlackHorrorMovies.com, a website which delves into the portrayal of black people in horror films.
Mr. Harris has chosen Joel Schumacher’s 1987 horror film The Lost Boys for discussion this week. During their chat, Mr. Harris and Jinx discuss their first experiences with the film, the nostalgic power it still holds after all these years, and its prominent place in Schumacher’s filmography.
Along the way, the two lament the loss of similar mid-range horror, the film’s potentially dodgy approach to homoeroticism, and…The Goonies?
It’s a fantastic chat with a wonderful guest, and it’s one we hope you enjoy.
